Joel Hart is a children's author and primary school teacher from Western Australia. Joel has been writing children's literature since 2003 and his books contain a unique sense of humour that appeals to children of all age groups. Melissa Daw complements his writing beautifully with detailed and amusing illustrations that children love.

Joel completed his teacher training at the Flinders University of South Australia and has taught in a variety of locations including Adelaide, Perth, Kalgoorlie, Ravensthorpe and Coonana Aboriginal Community. He currently resides near Fremantle, Western Australia.

As an experienced and accomplished teacher in early literacy, Joel knows very well the literature children love to read and writes with his target audience as motivation. Joel's inspiration comes from his two sons and the countless students he has taught in twenty years as an educator.
