Within each of us is born the capacity for both good and evil. It is the choices we make, however, that determine who we are and what we acheive. Lytia has always known that both she and her family were different and that there were vigilantly guarded secrets that no-one spoke of. Finally Lytia discovers a magical world that has been hidden from her in a desperate attempt to keep her safe from the forces of evil. All around her, darkness has dominated the world, keeping everyone in a perpetual state of despair. The world has not seen the light for over a thousand years. Suddenly destiny presents a parth which, if she survives it, will see Lytia return light, restore faith and resurrect traditions long forgotten. This path is wrought with danger and risks far beyond the simple loss of life. So Lytia must make the choice to either follow the path of her destiny or remain safely in hiding. Lytia must also decide whether the dark stranger, whose thoughts she can hear and who claims to be her protector, can be trusted or whether his horrific secret will jeopardise the world's last chance for freedom and ultimately lead to her destruction.

One of the most original and exciting books I have read in a long time. Review by Angelique Brown
Star rating One of the most original and exciting books I have read
in a long time. I was captive from the very beginning
right until the end. Marisa’s writing technique is very
descriptive which made it so easy to be taken into the story
and visualise. If you’re looking for something different to
read this is the book for you. (Posted on 9/12/11)
