Was it just Murphy's Law or Fate that led David Jones to fly into deteriorating weather that closed in behind him?
About to land and wait for it to clear, he sees four figures dragging what looks like a human body across a paddock to dump it. He flies at them and they drop it, fleeing to their car. As he flies past, he opens the window and starts taking photos. He lands and runs to the body, where he finds a teenage girl, drugged, viciously raped, beaten...but alive. Under low, threatening cloud he rushes her to nearby Corby Airport, where a paramedic identifies her as seventeen-year-old Michelle Somerfield.
It isn't long before David has four would-be killers on his trail, desperate to get the photos he's taken and, with Michelle's sister Tracy, they narrowly escape an attempt to kill them.
With suspicion falling on the Somerfield farm manager,Barry Searle, and an attraction growing between Tracy and him, David decides to stick around. Only for Tracy's fiance to show up.
When Searle is shot dead and threatening phone calls begin, David finds himself in a deadly web of intrigue, where no-one is above suspicion.
