Neville Mills
Neville Mills was born at a very young age in South Africa. He and his wife, Merope, moved to England, where they spent four years in Kent before settling in Sydney in 1981. They lived in Queensland for six years and moved to Noosa in 2008.
His early career was as an accountant and he then worked in executive recruitment in Johannesburg, London and Sydney. He established his own executive search company in Sydney in 1982 and sold it in 2003, before moving to Queensland.
He self-published The Humphrey Hatt Letters in 1998, a book of humourous letters and their replies involving international celebrities and politicians. It is about to be reprinted. Snowybright and the Eight Dwarfs is the first of a series of six. In 2009 he was short-listed for neither the Booker Prize nor the Children's Laureate Award. He did however win the Under 11 Sack Race at his primary school sports day.
