Jill Mather

Jill Mather was a former journalist working for international newspapers before becoming a television presenter and freelance writer. During the past five years she has contributed a substantial number of stories and articles for radio broadcast, lectured in Art and Literature and written several plays which have been performed. She has won numerous prizes including Best Script for a documentary film, and recently received an Award for Excellence in Art and Culture presented by the Gosford City Council.

Researching and writing the story of the famous horses has been a passionate journey that has taken the author back to her childhood love of horses. Unfortunately this was halted by a crippling illness which left her unable to continue riding.
