Orchid Ch’ng
Orchid Ch’ng was born in Malaysia, and lived her childhood years on Christmas Island (Indian Ocean) with her family. She migrated to Perth, Western Australia with her family and became an Australian Citizen when she was 13 years old.
Her career has been varied and included working in the Department of Foreign Affairs/Passports Australia as an Administrative Service Officer, a Reservations Consultant in the wholesale travel industry and other administrative roles.
She has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Consumer Science) degree from the Mt Lawley campus of Edith Cowan University in Western Australia. The multidisciplinary science degree included major areas of study in nutritional sciences, food sciences, health sciences and marketing.
She has always had a strong interest in health, writing and books which led to her inspiration in writing her first published book about health problems. Other interests include bushwalking, travel, movies and photography.
