Nemesis and the Fairy of Pure Heart

Ashley Du Toit comes from the depths of Africa. She was born in Bulawayo, Rhodesia. Later, the family moved to South Africa. As a child, Ashley experienced all the aspects which living in such a beautiful environment allowed. She travelled around Africa marvelling at amazing sunsets; seeing the plateaus and mountains in Zimbabwe; the coastal lowlands in Mozambique; and the moderately sloping plains of Swaziland.

On a whim, aged 18, she back packed around the United States with nothing more than a good friend by her side, a change of clothing and a bus ticket. She had so much fun that she decided to extend her trip with a quick spin around London before returning home.

Once back in South Africa, Ashley couldn't decide what she wanted to do, so broadened her world further by experimenting with a variety of occupations. While trying to find the job that would suit her talents, she was 'stalked' by a man crazy in love with her. After six months not only did she agree to go out with him, she discovered she loved him just as much as he did her.

Ashley married her 'crazy' man and was lucky enough to be blessed with two wonderful children. Now, the three of them are the centre of her life.

In 2006, her husband, Gert, decided that it was time for a change and moved the family to Perth.

Ashley enjoys reading, sleeping, scrapping, wire writing and dabbling in photography. She loves nothing more than hitting a trail at the end of a hectic week together with her family. She's made a list of everything she wants to do before she's 60 and writing a novel was high on the list.

Nemesis and the Fairy of Pure Heart came into being when she told her young son about the characters as a late night bed time story. Gert, as well as her son, enjoyed the story so much that he encouraged her to write it down and before she knew it went to print.
